Some programs at the University have decided to require all students to purchase a specific laptop to be able to enroll in their degree.
The Media Arts faculty met in Spring 2009 and unanimously voted not to do this. While there is great value in owning your own computer as an undergraduate, we felt that the Media Arts program was too broadly based to be able to specify a particular model of computer or a set of software.
